Blur a Portrait Background: Check Hair and Glasses Edges
A sharp face can still compete with shelves, cables or a crowd behind it. Utilgo Portrait Background Blur aims to separate the person and soften the surroundings. Judge the edges as well as the centre of the face.
Last updated:Choose a suitable original
Use your best source rather than a repeatedly saved messaging copy. Similar subject and background colours can make separation harder. Try another frame when dark hair merges into a dark curtain. Background blur does not sharpen a face that was already out of focus.
Upload and process
Select a JPEG, PNG or WebP photo and start processing. Work takes place on the server, so upload size and queue affect the wait. Download the result and keep the original separately. The current tool separates automatically; it does not offer a brush for manually correcting the subject mask. A difficult edge may require a different source photograph.
Inspect four areas
Check the hair outline, glasses arms, shoulders and clothing boundaries separately. A strand may blur as background, or a sharp patch may remain beside the shoulder. Inspect both fit-to-screen and 100% views, then check the intended profile size. A small circular avatar crop can look different from a large rectangular preview.
Review before sharing
Make sure the face, ears and needed clothing remain intact. Test the target platform’s crop before publishing. Do not treat blur as a privacy guarantee: remove sensitive addresses, documents or screens from the image, or cover them completely in a suitable editor. This tool does not audit anonymization. Because processing requires upload, use only photographs you are entitled to share.
