Combine PDFs in the right document order
Merging places separate documents one after another in a single PDF. It is useful for applications, report appendices and scanned paperwork. Existing pages remain separate pages. Different paper sizes can coexist in the result; merging does not automatically standardise their dimensions.
Step by step
- Select the PDFs or drag them into the upload area.
- Check file order. Reselect files in the intended sequence if needed; the PDF page reorder tool can adjust pages afterwards.
- Merge, download and inspect the page where each source document begins.
Example scenario
Example: combine a two-page application with a three-page appendix. Put the application first and expect five pages in the result. Checking this total helps detect missing or duplicated files before submission.
Check your result
Unlock protected files only with permission. Digital signature validation may not survive merging. Check form fields, bookmarks and attachments separately. If only some pages are required, extract them first to keep unnecessary personal information out of the final file.
Frequently asked questions
Does merging compress the file?
No. Use PDF compression separately if a smaller file is needed.
Can I include photos?
Convert photos with JPG to PDF or images to PDF, then merge the resulting documents.
Keep an original copy before processing your file. Examples are illustrative; results depend on your document.
